" In 2002, Ted Baker PLC expanded its retail presence
in the United States, requiring a local infrastructure
to be established. Up to that point, the existing
operations had been managed under license and by a joint
venture partner. The Finance team in London were
introduced to Linkenheimer LLP in 2002 as a potential
partner to help develop a local outsourced finance
structure. With a very short time before the first store
opened, Linkenheimer worked with the London team to
establish a team both internally and externally that
would deal with payroll, accounts payable, management
accounts, insurance and legal matters.
The solution was successfully implemented in a short
period of time and continues today. The solution is a
credit to the people involved at Linkenheimer as not
only was there a short time to develop and implement the
solution, but time differences meant that there was a
small window to communicate with staff in London.
Since the end of 2002, Linkenheimer has continued to
work with Ted Baker PLC to help it develop the solution
and refine it as the business continues to grow. We are
