THE HUMAN RACE — “Take a Walk on the WILD Side!”

To our friends,family and clients,

Do you know that nearly 80% of Nicaraguan’s live on less than $2 a day and the vast majority are living at or below the poverty line? Whether it’s putting food on the table, receiving medical attention, or caring for the elderly or sick, their communities are in need and resources are limited. Those of us with the ability to give time or money should be doing all we can to ease our global communities burdens. That’s why we’re excited to participate in the 2015 Human Race this spring. The funds we raise will go to support Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary Foundation (which will go towards the surgery center to be constructed in the village of Sabalos and the Rio San Juan Relief) in their efforts to provide medical relief to those who live in remote areas where it is otherwise unattainable. Our team at Linkenheimer spent over a week in the jungles of Nicaragua helping the people and providing medical assistance. It was life changing for those who participated and we are excited to give back to this amazing organization (to read about our trip click here and here).

On Saturday, May 9, 2015,we will

[run/walk] this amazing [3K or 10K] race. We are asking our friends and family to sponsor us in this team effort by giving $10, $20 or $50—whatever you can to help. Your gift will help provide much needed funds so that this nonprofit organization can provide relief to those facing serious illnesses and other medical conditions. Whatever the focus, nonprofits need to be able to put their energy and resources into their mission, but in these difficult times, many organizations are struggling to provide services to our neighbors in need. It’s more important than ever to do what we can to keep these critical services available and a small donation of anywhere from $10 to $50 (or more if you can) would make an enormous difference!

You might be asking, “What is the Human Race?” The Human Race is a nationwide community fundraising event for nonprofit organizations. In Sonoma County, it’s the largest collaborative fundraising event and the largest Human Race in the nation! It has been one of the most successful fundraisers for local nonprofits for over 33 years and it continues to be the most comprehensive. In 2014 the Human Race raised nearly $600,000 for local charities.

All donations are tax deductible. Help us make a difference  and if you know anyone who would also be interested in making a donation, please forward this message to them. That would be much appreciated! The easiest way to make a donation is via our Human Race website here: http://www.humanracenow.org/goto/linkcpa

Thank you for your support!
