2021-08-31T20:51:56+00:00

In January of 2020. our team spent one week in the rural San Juan region of Nicaragua. They provided eye care testing, along with glasses and other healthcare items for those in the area who otherwise wouldn't receive services. The team also visited the new regional surgery center, which Linkenheimer and Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary were instrumental in funding and building.

We'd like to thank everyone who spent the day with us on the course again this year. It's the people that make this event a success. At Linkenheimer, we've always said People are our greatest asset. And that statement doesn't just apply to our employees and staff. It includes our clients, family and friends. They all make up the driving force behind our firm. This tournament is our way of saying THANK YOU for your relationship with us and your support along the way. We look forward to seeing everyone out there on the course again next year!

Then the real adventure begins. The team then travels by boat to the village, where they setup their operations in a school building. From there they provide eye exams, determine the prescription and then provide the necessary eye glasses and then fit them. During the mission in Sabalos the teams examined 898 patients and distributed 765 pair of prescription eye glasses and 524 pair of sunglasses all for free. The sunglasses are key in helping prevent cataracts, which they also screen for. Cataracts are quite common in the region due to the daily sun exposure over the course of a [...]
