Surgery Center Built
Nicaragua is the second-poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. In the remote Río San Juan region, 30,000 people had no access to eye care, advanced diagnostics, or surgical services. Many lived their entire lives unable to see clearly—until Linkenheimer decided to change that.
Since 2008, our former Managing Partner John Jones has led medical missions into villages accessible only by boat, personally examining over 20,000 patients for vision needs, cataracts, and eye disease. But we didn’t stop at short-term relief.
In 2017, Linkenheimer helped complete construction of the Sabalos Surgery Center—a permanent facility providing advanced diagnostics and surgical capacity to the entire region. This isn’t charity tourism. It’s sustainable, lasting change.
In 2026, We’re expanding our reach with an eye care mission to El Salvador—bringing the gift of sight to a new community in need.

Standing With Fire Survivors
Since the devastating Tubbs Fire in October 2017, Sonoma County has faced one wildfire after another. Many of our own team members lost homes. We know what it’s like.
In the days after each fire, while most businesses were closed, Linkenheimer was open—helping survivors understand casualty loss deductions, insurance implications, FEMA assistance, and rebuilding tax strategies. We’ve helped hundreds of fire survivors navigate the financial complexity of rebuilding their lives.
Within days of the 2017 fires, we published rental resources, utility contacts, and tax relief information to help displaced families find housing and understand their options.
