What is your approach to collaboration, and what do you believe are the key elements to successful teamwork?

My approach to collaboration is communication, you have the potential to gain so much more out of it that way. Key elements for successful teamwork would have to be a comfortable friendly respectful environment. Feeling respected and trusted in a team is going to help others feel comfortable communicating.

What’s a hobby or activity you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t yet?

I always wanted to be a part of a flash mob. I haven’t looked into it yet in what is required, but definitely something I would love to try. It might be more realistic to witness one in person knowing my dancing skills. I would probably be laughing the whole time and wouldn’t be able to blend in with the mob or follow the beat of the music but I think it would be so fun. The energy and outcome of the teamwork would be enjoyable to experience. Maybe puppy or goat yoga is a better hobby to try first.

Team: We achieve our goals through Selfless Action, Collaboration and Commitment to each other.

2. Can you tell us about a person or experience that has had a significant impact on your life or career path, and how that has influenced your outlook on work and life in general?

Graduating high school, I wasn’t entirely sure what my career path would be. I started off at the JC taking some general ed classes hoping it would “come to me.”  I reached a point in my education at Santa Rosa Junior College where I had to decide what path I’d be taking. Eventually, the two choices came down to either an elementary school teacher (my first choice) or accounting. I polled my family and friends on what they thought might be the best fit […]
